My policy on this blog is to be inclusive. That means that I allow people to make claims and stand for them, even if I don’t necessarily believe them myself. “Official” views, like Vince Lovegrove’s moving story about Bon’s life, are presented alongside “unofficial” views, like Ben’s claim to be Bon’s son. It is up to blog readers to make their own minds up about the truth of these matters.

It is not for me to judge whether Ben is the “true son” of Bon. Nobody can prove or disprove that, except perhaps for a DNA test.

All I know is that when I met Ben, he was a nice fellow, and we got along pretty well. Perhaps it is true that he is an attention seeker, and can be annoying online. But I don’t really feel he represents a great threat to Bon’s legacy or reputation, and the fact that he can be a bit irritating to some people seems to me no reason to ban him from this site.

Bon Scott was a real man. But he was also a famous man, and along with fame comes hordes of fans, and occasionally, kooks.

Having said that, I respect your opinion and your friendship more than anyone’s, Mary, and I hope this explanation makes some sense to you. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

PERHAPS THE REASON MATHEW AND HIS PUBLICITY CREW PURPOSLY SPREAD THE “FALSE RUMOUR”… OF HIM BEING BONS SON IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET A LEG UP IN GETTING TO PLAY THE ROLE OF BON IN THE MOVIE???

A DASTERDLY TACTIC… AND I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS NO WAY THEY WOULD HAVE POSTED IT UP ALL OVER THE NET WITHOUT MATHEWS CONSENT… IMAGINE THE DAMAMGE SPREADING THAT COULD DO TO HIS CURRENT/FUTURE ACTING ROLE POSSIBILITIES…
