<description>Great job Lucas thanks, I will just say that I can't say myself that AC/DC (ACCA DACCA) were influenced by Bowie himself or his music but more from that whole Glam Rock Movement including T-REX, Garry Glitter and Roxy Music and in Australia we had Sherbet and Hush.

When AC/DC first started they looked really silly the first singer Dave Evans was a total Glamster and had no idea of what the Young Brothers wanted to achieve they needed a character like Bon to give their heavy blues inspired rock the Balls and charisma to make it work.

The look of AC/DC is almost as important as the sound the look that became their trademark of denim jeans and tight bonds style t-shirts was pretty much the same as all the cool and tuff guys out west where I grew up.

The influence of hip hop on Australian culture in the 80's phased this hard living pub rock culture out and now the tuff guys of the suburbs look like pathetic fools in their nylon tracksuits and stupid baseball caps listening to Eminem and 50cent lying about how tuff they are when really they are poster boys for corporate pre packaged rebellion.
Also the working class of Australia are now forced to wear fluro clothing and safety gear by law so the classic look of the blue singlet with stubbies shorts is being phased out too.
SHAME SHAME SHAME

AC/DC are a part of Australian culture that should be taught to kids in school to keep some remnants of our culture alive for future generations.

I MUST point out that Phil Rudd (drums) is also an integral part of the AC/DC sound and is regarded as one of the best drummers in the world.
His replacements in the 80's never could fill his stool and now he is back in the band they are a much more powerful force live and even in their older age can still blow away anyone else for the sheer power and energy the create.

If you have the chance go see them they are a living part of Australian history.
Also please check out: The Angels, Rose Tattoo, Lobby Loyd and Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs.
